:Tell me the way to the big city.
:Do you want to go there?
:I don't know. Give me the directions and then I will decide.
If the journey is all that matters, why set a destination? Enjoy the sights along whatever path you are on.
If you want to reach the big city, find a way to get there regardless of what the directions say.
Unsure of both desire to reach a destination and the means to reach it, one can rarely get anywhere.

I appreciate the logic but i also appreciate the question and the uncertainity therein... Sometimes what you need to know is a cost-benefit ratio before you decide where you want to go and how badly you want to... You also need to prioritize among the many places you want to be in..... so such a question, irrational as though it may seem, is in someways, understandable...
That's a valid point alright- Should have chosen a better metaphor :)
